I thought some diary style page would be nice. So here I go.
Who ever finds spelling and grammar mistakes is allowed to keep them. :)
Charlotte had some confused days. First she really found her voice and then she had to use it to tell us that she was stressed out. Basically she wanted to sleep while she wanted to poop, while she wanted to eat, while she had a hiccup while she did not want to be alone but held! But since yesterday she is back to her cheerfulness.
Sat. night she only woke up once and wanted to eat.
Sadly Sun. night she woke up... a thousand times it felt like. It was hard to get back to sleep, not because the baby cried, but because the baby kind of grunted.... She can be sooo loud just being awake. AMAZING!
Now it is 13.30h and I managed to have breakfast and showered. Ever tried cutting a breadrole with one hand and spreading butter and jam on it? It works! Showering whatsoever really does not work with a baby on your arm.
But considering that she is just three and a half weeks old, her schedule is pretty good and regular. For example she is always hungry when I sat down to eat. It is brilliant how well she times it.. even when I try to trick her by changing my times. :)
No honestly, considering everybody told me that the flat would turn into chaos, I wouldn't ever get out of my pjs, or worse, would only wear a jogging suits no matter where I'd go, it all is going pretty well!
Before I forget:
I call Lotte "Igel-Baby" which basically means hedgehog baby. For those who doubt she looks like one:

Well, there is actually not that much going on.
Lotte went to see a friend for coffee yesterday- uhm, ok I went to see a friend for coffee yesterday. But my friend has a 13 week old baby, which basically counts as Lotte's friend!
She seems to be growing a lot at the moment, or at least she seems to be constantly drinking. Yesterday Will and I had the pleasure of experiencing her full screaming capacity in the car. Lotte was hungry and we couldn't drive faster than the speed of light.
As you can see, Lotte took her first bath with her dad. Actually this already happened a week ago... I was lazy about posting pics. She really liked the bath and her cool hat of course. Last Sunday she took a bath with me. We had a lot of fun. And it is much easier to clean her compared to the tummy tub.
On Friday I took her to the University of Marburg, where I had a course... We spent 9 hours there and I couldn't follow the course at all. So on Saturday Lotte staid home with her dad!
Since the weekend she screams more. Well, she is reaching her screaming peak soon, so she has to try harder! Today she is not in the best mood, maybe because we are going to meet her future daycare mum!?
Lotte had a friend visiting her last Friday.
Well me and her mum had fun drinking coffee and eating loads of cake.
Lotte doesn't think much of sleeping during the day those days. I have no idea why. I think the last days she only slept between one and three hours. BUT the good side is, she only awakes once during the night and Saturday night she slept through... *happymama*.
Yesterday we wen't to her daycare mum again so the can get used to each other. For Lotte it doesn't seem like a big deal... but I hate it (IT not HER, she is nice). But starting on Monday I will have to live with it. :(
So there was Christmas in Germany with Nancy, Rick and Max.
I made Lotti wear funny outfits (check out her feet). Well actually I did not make her. I just
put it on her.
Lotti was happy hanging out with her grandparents!
And four days before Christmas we had her baptized.
She took the whole time pretty well. Especially considering that we made a million trips to parts of the family, pass the baby was played often and her sleeping times were messed up. She mainly staid cheerful and friendly. And if she lost her patients, grandad Rick would have a little dance with her until she fell asleep.
Lotti was pretty fond of her presents. His tasted especially good!!
Yes, it was just as messy as it looksl. But that's already day 2. You should have seen her the day before!
I decided to start with veggies as she wanted to drink every two hours. That seemed a bit too much.
She likes carrots, reaches out for the spoon with her chubby hands.
Oh dear I am, long time no write or what....
This pic was taken in March when Lotte was almost seven months old. She likes to hang out with her friend Pepina.
Lotte is a fashion victime and really likes her strawberry hat. The orange complexion is due to fab baby food!
In this pic Lotte is enjoying some Italian food. She is seven months old and staying home with her Dad while I am at Uni. Oh, and she got her third tooth "that day".
In the mornings Lotti is really adorable and cute! She likes to play and cuddle and talk ALOT! Oh and she likes to get up super early!
So, Lotti is growing like crazy. She really likes to talk. She can say Mama, Da (means "there" in German), Dada / Papa, and most important Hallo! And she so much wants to walk. She pushes around anything she can find; boxes, chairs, people ;) Therefore I am going to buy her a little doll stroller today. Will be an early birthday present.
In Alameda Lotti really enjoyed the pool, so we are trying to go swimming as much as possible. She likes it so much, she squeakes as soon as we get out of the car and waves her hands around.
She is not scared at all which is nice.
Since she started crawling she has become a true terrorist. She empties bookshelfs, eats plant soil, tears pages and is being cute! But nothing is safe anymore.
In the mornings she has breaksfast with me. She likes toast with cream cheese and jelly, Gouda or fruit... or everything. You wont miss it if she likes something; she goes "yum, yum". Her drink she can grab herself and drink out of it.
She has started standing up and putting her feet on the tray of her high chair though so we have to tigh her in now. It is just to dangerous. Oh and when she is done eating... she will sweep the left overs... onto the floor.
Next pic update will be her birthday party I guess. I already bought cute decoration.
Lotti just had her 1st Birthday. Unbelievable!! We had a fun party with singing, a cake, party hats and loads of presents! I was the one unpaking them mainly but that's ok.
Oh and we had to help with te candles!
A very tired baby...
